About The Learning Lounge

The face behind The Learning Lounge is me, Sally, (hello!), and I love bringing learning to life.

I’m a big believer that learning should be empowering and fun. I want to help people to think differently, and feel inspired and confident to put that learning into practice.

I honed my craft in the charity sector, where I designed and delivered a range of impactful training. From working with corporate partners, onboarding and inducting new starters, supporting leaders, developing core skills, rolling out CRM training and helping people to be the best they could be.

I’m still not sure if I was asked to create GDPR and consent training as some sort of punishment, but I accepted the challenge and turned a dry topic into something that was entertaining, memorable, and effective.

Underpinning all of the learning I’ve designed and delivered, is a drive to make it engaging, impactful, effective, creative, and fun, and I’m bringing those values with me to The Learning Lounge.

I don’t just design and deliver learning, I’m an avid learner myself and am constantly curious about the world; it’s one of the reasons I’ve been trying 52 new things a year since 2018. For me, learning isn’t just about soaking up knowledge, it’s about connecting the dots and applying it in different ways.

I’m based in the gorgeous city of York, where yes, it really does smell of chocolate some days!
